Fantastic job opening for Registered Staff Nurse to work with one of the UK’s leading healthcare provider. As staff nurse you will be working in highly reputable service within the Wrexham area.

The successful nurse will be offered an excellent salary of £22,950 per annum plus other great benefits.

The service provides specialist residential support and nursing for 23 adults with functional mental health problems and dual diagnosis with mental health, for example, acquired brain injury and learning disabilities.

Residents are encouraged to develop daily living skills to maximise their independence such as shopping, budgeting and cooking. The service has 24 hour staff support on site, as well as access to full multidisciplinary and primary care services in the local area.

You will ensure the ongoing provision for the individuals nursing care, covering the three main areas of:-

1. Psychiatric Nursing

 

2. Rehabilitation

 

3. Life Enhancement

 

The quality of care provided to each individual should be of an extremely high standard being sensitive to individual abilities, respecting privacy and catering for social, emotional, religious and cultural needs.  Individuals should always be encouraged to lead as independent a life as possible.

PROFESSIONAL/CLINICAL

1. To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.

2. To help develop individual care programmes based on assessed needs, in conjunction with the referring agents and the multi-disciplinary team.

3. Foster good relations and lines of communication with other disciplines/services/agencies involved with individuals’ care.  This liaison with the outside agencies is of the utmost importance.

4. To keep abreast of development and current trends when caring for people who have a mental health problem.

5. Be aware of mental health issues and the Mental Health Act.

6. Ensure the NMC and Priory group for drug administration, storage and handling of medication are adhered to.

7. Promote access to independent advocacy for the individuals.

8. Participate in the key worker system.
